Türkiye Pavilion 61st International Art Exibition La Biennale di Venezia

As Planlux, we are pleased to once again provide lighting design support for the Türkiye Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2026.

Coordinated by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the Türkiye Pavilion will host “A Kiss on the Eyes” by Nilbar Güreş at the Sale d’Armi in the Arsenale, Venice, from 9 May to 22 November 2026.

Bringing together sculpture, installation, painting, and mixed-media works on paper and fabric, the exhibition presents a selection of works from different periods of the artist’s practice alongside new pieces created specifically for this edition.

The exhibition’s conceptual framework explores themes such as proximity and distance, the body, belonging, vulnerability, and resilience through a spatial experience. Rather than directing visitors along a fixed route, it invites them to slow down and engage more attentively with both the space and the works themselves, making the role of lighting design all the more significant within the overall exhibition experience.

At Planlux, we will contribute a lighting approach that supports the perception of the artworks, strengthens the spatial atmosphere, and aligns with the curatorial narrative. As in the previous year, Avolux and Inventronics are once again among our project partners supporting this process.

We approach the relationship between art, space, and technology from a holistic perspective, focusing not only on technical precision but also on the quality of experience. Being part of the Türkiye Pavilion at a major international cultural platform such as the Venice Biennale, and contributing to this experience through light, is a source of great pride for us.
